» AS Controllers Openings: 2

Mission:Manage and watch over the various financial accounts in the Associated Students. The Controller shall have the power to impound funds and return them to the unallocated account from all student groups, as well as A.S. Boards and Committees, he/she deems dormant, provided protections for these funds do not otherwise exist.

Description: Inter-Fraternity Council Liaison. The Liaison must be an active member of the Greek community and attend their weekly Greek Council meetings and attend one of the two Inter-Greek Council meetings each month. The Liaison must provide an agenda and calendar of events to the Inter-fraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Collegiate Pan-Hellenic Council, United Fraternity Sorority Council and Inter-Greek Council executives three times a quarter and keep them informed on current Senate issues. » AS Office of the External Vice President for Local Affairs Openings: 7

Mission: The Office of the EVPLA serves as a liaison between the students of UCSB, the community of Isla Vista, and the broader Goleta and Santa Barbara area. The EVPLA is charged with representing the interests/needs of students and community members, and conveying such interests to pertinent local entities. These frequently include but are not limited to: IV Recreation & Parks District, County of Santa Barbara, the Office of Student Life, and UCSB Administration. The EVPLA also focuses on projects that address the interests/needs of the local community in terms of safety, infrastructure, social justice issues, sustainability, and tenant issues. Description: Chief of Staff is responsible for organizing and running the External Vice President of Local Affairs Office. Coordinates the activities of the entire EVPLA office staff and acts as a stand in for the EVPLA when needed.

Description: The Public Relations Coordinator will act as a spokesperson for the office and be responsible for maintaining a good public image for the External Vice President of Local Affairs and the EVPLA’s staff. They will also act as a liaison between the office and media outlets.

Postion: County Liaison

Description: The County Liaison will act as an advocate for student groups working on local issues and serve as a legislative liaison to the External Vice President for Local Affairs office as well as to the County Board of Supervisors. The County Liaison will also stay informed of the actions and pending business of the Goleta Water District, Goleta City Council, Santa Barbara City Council, and the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors, and attends meetings when they are discussing issues that affect students.

Description: Advisor to the EVPSA and Organizing Directors for national, statewide, and UC systemwide matters. Act as a think tank for Federal and statewide policy and strategy. Release weekly policy reports including updates and recommendations to the EVPSA and National Organizing Director.

Postion: Voter Registration Director

Description: Primary organizer of Voter Registration. Works closely with the Voter Registration Volunteer Coalition to recruit volunteers and coordinate outreach efforts aimed at registering the maximum number of students to vote. Is responsible for coordinating voter registration efforts directed at all facets of the campus community, including but no limited to residence halls, greeks, student groups, and athletics.

Mission:The Internal Vice-President serves as the Presiding Officer of the Senate and as the representative of Associated Students in all internal affairs, in addition to advising and informing the President and the Senate on all campus matters. Description: Shall work on projects that relate to the Association. The A.S. Project Coordinator will be an assistant to the Senators as well as any BCC that is working on a project. These projects can range from efficiency in A.S.(such as the AS Broadcast) to helping on an adhoc. The A.S. Project Coordinator will also work closely with the 2nd Pro Temp and AS Information Agency. » Commission on Public Safety (COPS) Openings: 2

Mission:The C.O.P.S. will work to increase the level of safety throughout Isla Vista and the UCSB campus. The commission will focus on all safety issues concerning the student body as well as increasing student relations and communications with Isla Vista Foot Patrol, California Highway Patrol, UC Police Department, and the Office of Student Life in a positive manner. To help accomplish such improvement of relations and communications the commission shall organize projects and campaigns pertaining to public safety.

Description: Fulfills duties of the Chair, if Chairperson is unable to do so. Responsible for attending at least one Senate meeting per quarter to report on the Committee actions. Shall oversee administrative detail and project work within COPS. Attend at least one Isla Vista Community Network meeting per quarter. Shall act as the COPS Historian by maintaining a binder containing meeting minutes and project documents.

» Committee on Honoraria Openings: 3

Mission:To oversee the allocation of all A.S. money towards honoraria, except for Legislative Council members honoraria. The Committee on Honoraria shall be responsible for reviewing all honoraria requests through examination of written requests as well as through discussions with chairpersons and members of committees affected. The Committee shall make a recommendation on its findings, and shall make all reporting available for Legislative Council review.
